Amazon starting to fleece subscribers to 'Prime'?

As title, I've been a subscriber to Amazon Prime to get the certainy of delivery by DPD, etc. next day, even on Sunday now DPD have started Sunday delivery.

Over the last few weeks, more and more items are being shown as "FREE Two-Day Delivery" and it's business days at that. For example, ordering today, Saturday, would mean delivery next Wednesday.

What a joke  I've just cancelled the auto-renewal of Prime.

Never used Prime - and always select free delivery option on Amazon items. Rarely have I had to wait more than a day or two for things to arrive, even where the estimated delivery date may say 5-7 days. Prime would appear to be a waste of money in most cases.

If all you're using it for is postage it probably is a waste of money, spend a tenner or more on an order and it generally gets despatched the same time, it's a little slower on busier times. There's a load of other stuff that's included with Prime, from free lending of Kindle books, movies, TV channels, apps and more.

I have had the same experience: I could never understand why anyone would want to subscribe to Prime when free delivery is very fast.

Amazon prime is only for items sold by amazon themselves or fulfilled by amazon.

Anything sold by other sellers [apart from those using fulfilled by Amazon] have never been included in prime membership.

I've started to notice this as well recently. I use amazon a lot so prime was a no brainer for me. Now I am finding most things with prime delivery are 2 days and in a few cases are listing as 3 days.
