The local ones in my nearest towns don't seem to do any vegetarian products (unless they are in an unlikely place somewhere!), such as veggie soya mince, sausages etc.
Do they do them at all? Perhaps in bigger stores?

Thanks

I've only seen very few items in Aldi (haven't looked in Lidl). Aldi sometimes has Quorn sausages/mince but not much else and you can't rely on them even having anything.

Offers in the supermarkets aren't nearly so good as they used to be either. Tesco seem to gradually be replacing Quorn/Linda McCartney with their own, but having bought or two things I wouldn't buy them again - I think they're horrible!

LadyDee that's what I'd found, the occasional stock of quorn only..
I ate quorn for years and really liked it but recently I'm wondering if it is the culprit of dodgy innards sometimes so am looking for a replacement to use.

I agree some of the soya mice SM own brand is awful. I'm just testing them all out. The Morrisons is truly bad, like pellets of rubber. I have tried the Asda meat free mince and it is not too bad.

Anyboyd have a recommendations on the best of the lot from the SM brands of soya mince?

I have never eaten Quorn (am allergic to the ingredients). I do buy frozen jacket spuds in Aldi (they have crispy skins and take 5 mins in the microwave).

I think they may have more frozen veggie things than fresh.

My local Lidl always has Quorn mince and chicken style pieces, as well as Linda McCartney sausages.

Farmfoods and Iceland are good for cheap quorn products :)

I'm not veggie but have tried quorn a few times and it didn't agree with me either.

I buy some veggie things for my GD1 in Aldi. They do quorn sausages, mince and 'chicken' strips. I have also found two types of vegetarian burgers in the freezers Vegetable and Spicy Bean. they also do a meat free pizza. Cauliflower cheese too.

Lidl has quorn chicken pieces and mince I think. Also Linda McCartney sausages for £1.35, although these are cheaper in Iceland at £1.25
Actually Iceland Quorn range generally pretty good, I only use tesco for the lasagne if it's on offer, range in there is rubbish (not just quorn, my local store is pants)

My Aldi has Quorn Mince, Chicken chunks and sausages. They also have one or two own brand things like Nut Cutlets.

They also had a really nice veggie rissotto a few weeks ago, but it seems to have disappeared.

~Thanks for replies. I guess Lidl Aldi don't do their own mince etc.

    The other question is:

Can anyone recommend a good soya mince that is available in supermarkets? (not Quorn)

    Thanks
