Does anyone know anything about collective energy switching where a large number of people sign up to a website which then applies to energy companies for a cheaper tariff as so many are switching - sort of like bulk buying.

My local council approached me about this: they will find the best tariffs if you send them your annual usage. I would not use a profit-making company for this purpose.Who having known the diamond will concern himself with glass?

In theory this is a fantastic idea. Collective purchasing power should be able to get you a better deal. However the energy industry is so powerful and corrupt that my experience of taking part in a few of these initiatives is that they will only offer a tariff which is already available via comparison sites where you may be able to get a better deal yourself because of cashback incentives.0

No they won't. They will send you the tariff from the supplier they have agreed to deal with (or at best, one of 3 suppliers depending on usage)
But you can find the best tariff for you from the whole of market by using a comparison site
Don't forget about possible cashback too!
(Something the council will pocket themselves if you switch via them)0 -

also due to new ofgem guidance this wont workDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0
