123 cash back

in Credit cards
Just got myself a Santander 123 credit card and have been very disappointed just how many outlets don’t count for cash back. I want to make a few big ticket purchases and have found some good deals from one off mega stores via the net but when I check them out on the Santander web site it does not acknowledge these businesses so I assume no cash back. As I am talking around £2000 it’s a bit of a let down.
Has anyone else found this to be a problem?

I choose the rooms that I live in with care,
The windows are small and the walls almost bare,
There's only one bed and there's only one prayer;
I listen all night for your step on the stair.

No, because they clearly state that they only pay cashback on supermarkets (1%), department stores (2%) and transport (3%)...
I use another card at places which don't fall into these categories(EDIT: actually, I don't for now, because the 18 months 0% on purchases means my money is earning more than that in the bank while I don't have to pay off the credit card bill)

John Lewis, BHS, Debenhams? Places like that I suppose.
http://www.santander-products.co.uk/credit_cards/cashback_search they have a page which will indicate whether cashback is payable and at what percentage.0 -
guesswho 2000 thanks for your answer as i have stated in my first post, i have checked these places out via the Santander website thats what prompted my to post the question.
I find if i use so called 'department stores' the price for goods is too high and makes any cash back a waste of time, still thats life.I choose the rooms that I live in with care,

The information was all there for you to check before applying for the card. If you now feel it's not worth having then get rid of it and look for another one. I'm making money from mine, although the bulk of that is from petrol purchases.0
