Hello everyone
We have just had a kitchen installation quote from a builder and need advice. The kitchen we have bought is Howdens and therefore not flat packed. The quote includes installation of the kitchen, all plumbing and ducting for cooker hood to outside. The kitchen has soft close drawers/doors and integrated cooker, microwave, fridge, freezer and dishwasher. The kitchen consists of the following units:
1x 500mm larder tower unit
1x 600mm single over/microwave tower
2x 800mm 2 drawer units
1x 931mm hi line corner base unit
1x 600mm hi line appliance door unit (intergrated fridge)
1x Breakfast bar
1x 500mm hi line base unit
1x 600mm hi line appliance door unit (intergrated dishwasher)
1x 800mm hi line base unit (sink and tap)
1x 600mm hi line appliance door unit (intergrated freezer)
3x 800mm hi line base unit
1x 600mm hi line base unit
Plus, 2 lengths of worktop.
We have been quoted £1,700 for the above work, does this sound like a fair price?

Are they VAT registered? If they are, it's probably fair. It really depends on the plumbing and electrical work around it.
It's certainly cheaper than any of the sheds would charge for fitting.
I'd still want a proper carpenter or joiner fitting the kitchen though.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.
