Hotmail Locked Out Please Help!!

Please somebody out there must be able to help.
Recently I've found I cannot log into my hotmail account. No matter what I try. I have contacted technical support at MSN with is only available via email and all I get told is firstly to answer stupid questions like what was the ip address of the last machine i was successfully able to use to log onto my hotmail account. There are questions about putting every single contact i have in my address book etc. Now I have verified as many details as I can but still I'm told its not good enough.
It maybe a coincidence that this has happened to me since joining Facebook but its getting me concerned.
I was wondering if anyone has experienced similiar problems?

Sounds like someone has hijacked your hotmail account. Have you tried emailing the account and seeing if you get a response? All you can do is try and get hotmail to transfer it back to you. I doubt it's got anything to do with facebook, it's not uncommon for crackers to successfully gain access and hijack hotmail accounts etc usually by guessing passwords. Otherwise forget it, create a new one with a secure password and move on.

OK well I can confirm this is DEFINATELY a problem with hotmail and facebook!
I STUPIDLY used the same passwords on both and now i cannot get into my hotmail or facebook and its only since i joined facebook.
Does anyone know how i could talk to someone from either facebook or msn?

do you know your MSN recovery details? or did you set your account with a backup e-mail address ?

never use the same passwords, i group mine into 3 catogrys ( everyday, kinda important, bank and server login )

that way i only need to remember 3 passwords and my important accounts are still protected.

Well all I know is my personal details ie name address etc. I know the last emails that are likely to have come in and names of people on my msn list.
But it was my first ever email account so no backup and i reckon details have been changed coz they're saying my details dont match up

I agree I think it is something to do with facebook and hotmail. Same thing has just happen to my son and he had different passwords for both. No help so far from hotmail. Think they need to get their act together.
