Apps problem on Tablet

I have a Sumvision "Cyclone Voyager" tablet {for a couple of years now} that works great apart from one thing. It states that it is a 16 GB but even though I have nowhere near 16 GB {it states " 11.95 GB Available on Nandflash"} when I try to download some apps from the play store {only small MB sizes} it tells me "not enough space".
Can anyone tell me why that {as I understand it} I have all this space yet I cannot download these apps??
One thing it shows on the storage side is "Internal storage" then states "total space 0.98 GB" Apps 714 MB. Available 131 MB. This info is above the Nandflash that I have stated .
To me it makes no sense but perhaps one of you Tech persons can explain it :0)

16GB is the total, knock off 4GB for the OS/Recovery/etc and you have 12GB left (11.95GB in reality).
Out of that 12GB, you have 1GB for actual apps but only have 131MB left so that is probably why you get the error message that you don't have enough space left to install any more.
Whatever is left over is the actual storage space available to the end user.
Install something like SD Maid to clear out the cache and temp files and this will more than likely pull a bit of space back.
Also go in to Application Manager and move whatever you can to the "SD Card" to free up some space.Understeer is when you hit a wall with the front of your car

Thank you Quiet Spark
It now makes more sense to me and I will do what you suggest to get a little more space for the apps side. I know I only download the free ones and I do have a lot of spare memory cards so between your information and the cards I have I hope I should be able to do the things I want :0)
Thanks Again0 -
"SD Card" is the internal memory that is available to the end user, your external memory (which is the cards you change) is classed as "ExtSD" (external or extended memory).Understeer is when you hit a wall with the front of your car

Apps2SD (free in play store) will show you which of your apps can be moved to the internal"SD Card" memory, most of what you've downloaded will be able to be moved

Thanks GunJack
I notice on my tablet when I go into apps some of them do not show as being able to transfer to memory card so I will get the Apps2SD as I think I will find it very handy :0)
Thanks Again.0 -
some won't be able to be moved, it's the way they're programmed...if they can be, App2SD will tell you.......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......

Moving apps to SD depends upon the OS version of Android .
Later versions do not allow this .0 -
Hudl 2 has this restriction
Google removed this type of access in KitKat !
how flamin' short-sighted for the user....
..but of course good for corporate profit as you'll end up having to buy the more expensive model (with the bigger memory, of course)......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
