Hand shower over bath water leak?...

Hi
We have moved into a house where the previous occupants put a hair washing shower attachment in the bath. This was done by putting a hole in the bath, and then fitting a pull out shower that goes back into the back of the bath when its finished being used (I hope that makes sense). Now from what I can see when you use the shower head some of the water runs down the shower hose and into the bath (there is no seal around the shower hose and the hole into the bath). Has anyone seen this before? Any suggestions on how we can seal up the gap - we can't seal up the whole thing as the shower hose comes in and out from behind the bath.
TIA

Totally wrong and asking for trouble, no way should a hose be sliding in and out of a bare hole.
You need to get the taps changed to a mixer with a handset/shower take of. You then need to use a basin blank or similar to prevent leaks from the existing hole.
Or you could change the bathI like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)
Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed0
