Amazon marketplace advice - buyer hadn't read description

Hi everyone,

Please could I ask for some advice?

This week I sold a brand new satnav on Amazon, it was sealed, and all information on the device was described by Amazon on the product page. The buyer has requested a refund as the device is not compatible with his system [despite this information being clearly visible on the page].

What is the best course of action to take? I'd happily refund him, if he will pay return delivery if the item was still as sold, but he has opened the box and so I wouldn't be able to sell it as new any more.

Being able to sell this was a godsend as it was a little injection of cash before Christmas, but now I don't know what to do? I'm unsure of his consumer rights, and I don't know if I can refuse to refund him.

Any advice gratefully received
