Yeah its alright, make sure that you get the right size for your height and check that Halfords have assembled it properly.
You could if you wanted look for a secondhand one but I would only do this if you know a bit about bikes or have someone who can help you.0 -
Try a different local bike shop, one that's not populated by bike snobs. :eek:0

I have no idea. my other choice was a pendleton hybrid but like the lower frame on the apollo. mind you anything has to be better than the piece of rubbish I already have.

Both will be o.k, the Pendelton Hybrid is quite good for the money as well. This one is alright as well http://www.evanscycles.com/products/ridgeback/motion-2014-womens-hybrid-bike-ec0596320

I did see the pendleton recommended on a womans cycling website.
Which is why I kinda choose it. Sadly halfords did have a 10% discount until monday just gone. I hoped that I could eek my other bike out for another couple of months. But sadly now the back wheel is out of alignment and rubbing on the frame. And have just wrecked a tyre and inner tube pushing it home tonight.
It is a 17 years old and a piece of junk. But did not want to spend the money. Now I have to if I want a bike as there is no point spending any more on it. The only thing in favor of the pendleton is the wheel size I believe is the same as the one I have already. And I only bought new tyres a few weeks ago. So would have a spare.
Need to think about it LOL!!! But thanks again for the help.

Good luck with your purchase, you could always stick your old one on Gumtree even without the tyres.0

Can you get to a decathlon? you might get a better bike for your money. Otherwise look second hand.0

Just as a short term fix to get your bike through the next couple of days, try loosening the wheel and realigning it in the dropout. If the wheel isn't tightened up fully (e.g. after you've taken the wheel off to fix a puncture) it can sometimes pop out of alignment. It's happened to me more than once and it's really annoying!
However it's easily fixed. Just loosen the wheel, push it right back into the drop out as far as it will go, and make sure it's completely straight when you tighten it back up. Your bike might have 'quick release' wheels or it might have a nut that you tighten with a spanner, but either way, make sure it's properly tightened up. You might need to disconnect the rear brake while you're realigning the wheel.2015 comp wins - £370.25
