Hi ,, need help!
it was over a year ago i got slapped with a ticket from met parking
at macdonalds . I actually used kfc as they had told me it was ok to
use the spaces for their "restaurant" , so as normal i parked and went
in to kfc but came out to find a parking charge, It was only then that
i noticed the signs after walking up to one of them that wasnt readable from where i was parked. so i went online and all the advice i received was to ignore any letters, so i did just that..... all good even after 2 or 3 letters(even one from a solicitor) but... a whole year later and DRP have contacted me twice , the last letter is now threatening court action.
I did have proof of error , the time on the ticket was wrong by 2 hrs
but.... i recently lost the ticket! so am i still to ignore ? i went to
the newbie thread but it said there not to ignore since 2013!

What was wrong with the reply I gave you this morning begging to avoid yet another thread about debt collector letters (these threads go round in a circle and end up nowhere different).

You appear to have missed the parts in the Newbies thread that already answer your question (the debt collector section in post #4 of it, and the 'so you think you are too late to appeal?' section in post #1). You aren't going to find people saying anything different seeing as we have seen people ignore these debt collector letters for a decade. Tens of thousands of forum threads talk about this letter-chain already, no need to talk about the letters again when you should just read about them.PRIVATE 'PCN'? OK - and MET don't do court either so it will just be a matter of ignoring the letters. And you really should do a search - there are shedloads of threads about this letter chain if you want a preview of the next letter! Keyword to search this forum for, could be 'Recovery' or 'Zenith' to find the letter chain.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
