Tax credits - New job

i currently recieve tax credits , i was told yesterday that as from w/c the 20th october i will be changing jobs ( same company ) and working full time
would i have to tell them this or wait until the end of the tax year and then when i get the form fill in what i have earnt this year
i did try ringing up but its all automated and the robot couldnt understand my details
