I was indeed - thanks.
I couldn't remember the time scales, but I do know that we've fielded such CPA questions here at MSE even within the past 2 years. (i.e. banks still saying only the company can cancel a CPA).0 -
I'm a bit lost, you haven't lived there for nearly 2 years but a payment came out on the 8th of October 2014? Was there a payment this time last year? Sorry if I'm being a bit thick, I've had an early start today

So before you bothered even contacting the insurer you contacted your bank and posted a thread for help online.
Don't understand the logic.0 -
It's a civil matter between you and your ex. It's not fraud because you agreed to the transaction and didn't withdraw that agreement when you needed to, so the authorisation was still in place.
Now you have withdrawn the authorisation if it happens again it would be fraud, but that's like closing the stable door after the horse has bolted.0 -

I just got my renewal notice from Nationwide. I've been with them for 4 years (Aviva before). Only one claim (2003) since owning house(1988).
Last year the premium was £285 and this year it's £380!
Why would they have done that if I've not made any claims? They also say that I'm not eligible for a 'loyalty discount'!! I've tried haggling and it's no use - they won't budge.
Any ideas?
