Should i close my ESA claim?

I have been living off £0 for 11 months now... Long story, but i have appealed, condition got worse, ignored, not sent new paperwork for the worse condition when i asked, left alone without help since payments stopped, counselling stopped due to budget, etc, etc.
I'm thinking, theres no point of staying on ESA with only my stamp being paid... Or is there?
I'm not bothered about the stamp, actually I'm that disgusted by the way i have been treated, i don't want anything from them!
I know people that are frauding the system and are getting away with it... And genuine people are being dumped!

If you still need National Insurance credits (stamp) towards you pension then you should certainly stay on, if not it's really up to you.
I would add that if you are not getting anywhere with DWP you should contact your local MP. I know most of them aren't a lot of good a lot of the time but a letter from an MP tends to focus the minds of Civil Servants and things can start to happen.0 -
Thanks for the advice Keith.
I think i have given up with trying now.
Can i top these stamp credits up in the future?0 -

From the way you have posted, I guess that you are not eligible for income related ESA? If so and you stop your claim you will not be able to reclaim in the future, even if your condition has worsened, or you have developed something else, so that you would be clearly eligible for the Support Group (unless you also had a change of financial circumstances and were entitled to income-related ESA).0

Not entitled to IR and my appeals for CB were rejected. JSA would be the same and dont want to put a claim in as it would mean i am considered fit for work.
I am starting to hate my own country...0 -
Why would i not be able to make a new CB ESA claim in the future?0

Because if you break your claim now, after 12 weeks, it will not link to your existing claim.
This means you will be assessed on your earnings in 2012/13 and 13/14. (for a claim in the new year) which you will not meet the contributions requirements, and will only be entitled to ESA-IR.
At any point - if your condition worsens now - and you are found eligible for the support group - with a continuing claim of ESA - payment will resume.0 -
Ok thanks for the info.
I phoned them two weeks ago telling them that my condition has worsened and they only made a note of it.
I could tell they didnt want to send out a re assessment form.

Have you looked at the support group descriptors to see if you meet any of them?
Have you checked that you are receiving all the benefits that you are eligible for?
