Why not just close you claim and do a rapid reclaim. I did one after being signed off for five months and I had my initial interview within 4 days and money in my account within two weeks, although it will probably vary from jobcentre to jobcentre.Ok my apologies, I was wrong, anyone else wondering, those on JSA can not go abroad.

Yes this is what I did in the end, luckily things went very smoothly this time although the information online could not be found so I had to fill it in at the job centre. Last time I had to wait a few hours and a couple meetings for my rapid reclaim.0
