Friends see what you put on Facebook, and I'd rather some of them didn't see this.

    That has made my day.

Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

    :rotfl:Glad to be of service!

Seriously I don't want the moral discussion that would probably ensue - especially with family etc. Mainly because this has already wasted enough of my time...

    :T Good Thought - Thanks!
  • Puff response from Lidl - but it at least shows they've received my email to them...

I went straight to the CEO and bypassed customer services. I sent my POPLA at the same time as the email. I got a confirmation letter from Athena today saying that the charge has been cancelled.

Complaints work to Lidl if you email Ronny Gottschlich as I hope you did, direct to him?

So mine didn't even get to POPLA. Athena bailed based on Coupon-Mad's emailed template reply!

Oooh that's the first cancellation based on the 'new appeal' I think! I doubt they like it. I have a strong feeling about the current Consumer Laws not being exploited by us enough yet. It would take a court of law to decide where private parking contracts fit within the new June legislation mentioned in the new appeal version and I don't expect a PPC will want it tested in a hurry, because the info they supply doesn't comply, in my 'armchair lawyer' view.

And if I am wrong it's no skin off my nose - the PPCs have something to lose not the motorist - so this is fun! Nothing to stop people just sending a notice of cancellation.

Hopefully it is the strength of your template - but:
    • It's a sample of one result
    • A receipt from purchases on the day was attached to the email
    • Also I'd emailed Lidl customer services already (and we're suspicious elsewhere on this board that Athena and Lidl are one and the same)
....so I'd wait for a few more positive results that don't go to POPLA to be reasonably sure ;)
