Will this enable me to replace the IDE hard drive in a Dell D600 laptop with a SATA Hard drive?

I doubt if there is enough space to get that in the HD hole as well as a drive. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

That is what I was thinking.
The present hard drive clicks and rattles and I have a SATA drive just sitting here.
Any other solution?over 73 but not over the hill.0 -

As far as the hard drive is concerned then it's probably the only option. Laptops aren't designed to add 'another bit' to make stuff work that it was not designed for.Why does everybody want me to spend money buying new equipment instead of adapting what I have?
