Extended warranty

Hi, I bought an Acer laptop from box.co.uk in May 2013 and paid for an extended 3 year warranty. They said I needed to activate the warranty within 90 days of purchase which alas I seem not to have done.

Now they say that I have forfeited the extended warranty AND the money I paid for it (£49.95). Surely this cannot be right?

Can anyone help me? Has anyone else had this problem?

Thanks.

Warranties can have pretty much whatever terms and conditions they want, so if you failed to abide by them then I think you're at their mercy, and in this case it doesn't sound like they want to be very merciful.

Likewise. If the three year warranty was free and dependent on registering, then fair enough. As you paid for it, that should be all you need to do to activate it.
    Squirrel!
If I tell you who I work for, I'm not allowed to help you. If I don't say, then I can help you with questions and fixing products. Regardless, there's still no secret EU law.
