Budget Natural Skincare - Naked Bodycare?

I've been using Naked Bodycare for ages because it's mostly natural without additive nasties, and very well priced. However this week it's totally disappeared - the Facebook page, Twitter account, website - all just gone. Does anyone know what's happened?
Anyone recommend a cost effective range of hair and beauty products which are similar (i.e. mostly natural without additives).

Hiya, just called up KMI Brands - owner of Naked Bodycare - and apparently Naked's been sold to Boots.
I think it must have been a very recent sale, because Boots' customer service people know nothing of it yet.
I'm gonna wait a few weeks and see what happens...
One alternative to naked is the Faith in Nature range, but I found their scents to be quite powerful - unbearable when I was pregnant. Price is a bit more expensive, but the products are good and don't have too many nasties in them either.
Hope this helps.0 -
Hi there,
I was also very unhappy to find that Naked Bodycare's website and Facebook page both disappeared last week! I use their shampoo and conditioner almost exclusively and the fact it was a company with good ethics and using natural ingredients was really important to me.
I emailed Boots to ask if they know what has happened. I got a reply back yesterday to say that they can confirm that the range has been discontinued due to poor salesVery sad as I found Naked haircare products amazing for my hair.

I'm really sad to hear that! I loved their leave-in conditioner as it was one of the few I've found that doesn't have silicones in. I also liked the fact that they seemed to be a decent company too.0

There do seem to be a few items on the bay of e, suspect they will soon go now though:(
I had this range on my list of things to try when stash reduced:(The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -

I am gutted - it's the only haircare range i use & believe me, I've tried everything else.“Pour yourself a drink, put on some lipstick, and pull yourself together.” Elizabeth Taylor0

V poor this. KMI say they've sold it to Boots and Boots say it's discontinued. Great way of squandering goodwill.0

Hello all,
I have never written a review or on a forum, before but I was such an avid fan of the naked bodycare range, and so disappointed when I could no longer find the products any where, that I felt I must write and advise of a suitable alternative I have found which turns out to be more cost effective. I have discovered the 'Naturally European' brand which sells a 500ml bottle of shower gel for £6.95 compared with the naked body wash at £3.98 (depending on where you bought it from). Unfortunately they only do a 50ml size shampoo or conditioner in their travel kits. Sold in John Lewis, and online on various sites but don't seem to have their own website.
Alternatively there is the 'Organic Surge' range which is very good but does work out to be more expensive than naked bodycare was. On the plus side they sell a full range of hair and body care as well as face products too. Cheapest bought at John Lewis or online although their own website is dearer than others.
Interestingly Boots stopped doing the organic surge range a while back too. What do they seem to have against reasonably priced natural or organic products!?!
Hope this helps!!0 -
When the their website stopped working I made the long trip to town and picked up a few months supply of my favourite shampoo and condition, however I could not find the children's toffee apple or jam sandwiches shampoo
I hope the do not disappear forever, my hair actually loved the SLS and silicone free products, luckily the body shop do a similar priced one (although its not as good) when my stash is gone I will need to make another trip to town.0 -
Hello again,
I've been a bit obsessive and found some products that those of you who had been using the Naked hair care range might appreciate as I've also decided to give sls free hair care a go.
Firstly you might want to check out the SLs free list of shampoos and conditioners on life and soul lifestyle website (sorry but this forum wouldn't let me post with the link).
I have also found some super value SOS free products from CostCo including 1 litre bottles of shampoo for £9.99, conditioner for £10.99, and 1.6 litres of body was for £12.99!!! These products do however contain silicones just so you are aware.
Best wishes0
