World Pay

I have most likely posted this in the wrong section; Im not sure where it is best.
Has anyone heard of World Pay? I wish to purchase something from a website and payment method is through the World Pay portal.
I, nor family and friends, have never heard of them before.

World pay are a 3rd party payment processing company (one of the biggest), they are used by alot of other companies (especially smaller ones)

They've been around for a long time and were owned by RBS at one point.

As far as i know it's a legit company!

it's been around for years. (Was one of the first online payment companies.) Used to use them a lot before Pay-Pal became more powerful and widely known!

Was formaly known as "RBS World Pay" But Royal Bank of Scotland sold it in 2010 to an American group.

I have also used World Pay before.

I have also created a shopping website (based on Zen cart) for someone who arranged their merchant account through World Pay.

I've used them many times with no issues whatsoever.

WP are just the card processing link between you and the retailer - it doesn't guarantee anything about others but WP themselves are fully legit. I incorporated them into a website back in 2000 :-)
  • The Telegraph use World Pay for their crossword subscriptions which I have had for several years. Definitely legit and above board.

My local council use them for paying for pre-booked leisure activities. Never had an issue, but their site is a bit amateurish iMO

There's amateurish, or another way to look at it is simple, less to go wrong. :)
