Good news! Thanks again for the help on the site and in this thread. I picked up an email this weekend from Parking Eye to say that the ticket has been cancelled. YES!!
Had email from hospital last week that basically said go ahead and appeal but they couldn't do anything until that was rejected and referred to the Trust. Not great.
HOwever, the original template from here is what I used in the appeal so that must have been what worked.
