I think that's when they limited WRAG ESA CONTS to one year of payments, and they made some adjustments to the Cancer rules.

please help i have had 2 appeals overturned in my favour still on the basic money and have just had third assessment and that too have been told fit for work so have asked for it to be looked at againand told i do not get any money until decision is made. but yesterday got letter to go to work-focused interview for employment and support allowance claimants. i thought people who got this letter had been put into the work-related activity group.

What do you mean by 'had two appeals' - what was the result, what were you appealing.
WFIs happen for those on the assessment rate too.

Are you on contributory ESA, or income based?

I had 2 assessments and both times i asked them to look at it again .the first one was overturned because they mixed me up with someone else. and the second overturned as the medical report was find not fit for porpose. the third i got last week ,i phoned to ask for mandatory reconsideration and told no money until they look at it again. but i have just got this letter about work-focus interview

I have no idea what you are trying to say, are you saying that your point is meaningless, or this discussion is meaningless?

The bottom line is, you cannot appeal until you have done a MR.
After the MR, the appeal begins.
If you appeal to TAS without a MRN it will be thrown out and you will be told to do a MR or send a MRN.

You know this as well as any of us so why are you complicating matters?

I am disagreeing as the first step of an appeal is (now) to request a mandatory reconsideration.
This does not mean that it's not a part of an appeal.

    https://www.gov.uk/appeal-benefit/decisions-made-on-after-28-october-2013
    "Appeal a benefits decision"

The first step of an appeal is not to first think about doing it only once you've got your mandatory reconsideration notice!

What the DWP call the individual steps is not relevant.

Go to the front page of benefits & tax credits and there's a blue icon on the mid to top left called new thread, click on this, give your post a heading and fill in some details.
