I've never looked at this before but need to look at improving broadband access in shared accommodation in student halls.
Current wifi is useless and being on the 8th floor we should be able to get a good signa.
What is the best option?
What sort of signal do you need? good 3g etc...??
Any company better than others???
Thanks for any help.

We travel all over the country and find 3 mobile very good for routine browsing and email. Even when there is poor voice reception we have only rarely been unable to get internet access using their mifi mobile wifi router. With such a device multiple rooms could share a single mobile connection.
I wouldnt use a mobile connection for serious downloading, though whether this will change with 4g which 3mobile is now rolling out in the major cities I dont know.0 -
I bought a 4G mobile wifi unit from EE earlier this year when I moved house and had to wait a bit for the broadband to be connected. With some Quidco cashback it cost about £20 upfront on a rolling monthly contract. Speeds were around 24Mbps at home last time I tested. Data isn't that cheap though and I don't think there are any unlimited plans on EE. In fact, I'm not sure if anyone offers an unlimited plan for mobile wifi these days.Let's settle this like gentlemen: armed with heavy sticks
