Car insurance and Pass-Plus

Our second daughter has just completed Pass-Plus, a few months after passing her driving test first time aged 18.
We informed the insurance company, partly because it might be considered a "relevant fact", but also hoping for the often-quoted insurance premium reduction.
The company said
a) they don't need to be told
b) it doesn't make any difference to the premium because she is only a named driver on my policy.
I know the benefit of doing the Pass-Plus is to improve driving in the post-test stage, so she'd have been keen to do it anyway, but it's disappointing not to get any premium recognition.
I bet they'd have been keen to know if she'd had a bump or got a fine.
Funny that it doesn't work both ways.

a lot dont offer discount, infact when I took it 9 years ago the companys that didnt take it were cheaperDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

Its a minority that give an actual discount for it. On the flip side she should become a better driver and therefore avoid accidents that she might otherwise have and thus get a lower premium by keeping a clean record0
