Yup - it could be pretty disasterous for your credit file for the next 6 years. + the potential for a CCJ and the hassle of debt collectors.0

I think the last answer is incorrect, if they don't provide a monthly feed they can't suddenly report a default.0 -
Nonsense, if you don't pay they can apply a default, they can take you to court,
even before a court case your credit will be trashed for the next 6 years, you wont even be able to get
a mobile phone contract, let alone a mortgage,
If you owe it, pay it, simple as that really.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -

Can anyone do the same?
Could I apply a default to your credit file with a fictitious debt and a fictitious company?
Probably not.
I'd like to see clarification on the matter but I struggle to believe companies who don't report the account can suddenly start reporting, just to report a default.
Edit: They're not really giving credit anyway but that's another matter.0 -
Maybe the £200 is wrong. Maybe the OP actually owes nothing.
Of course from the putative debtor's point-of-view that doesn't matter. They think he owes money, so given half a chance they'll trash his credit record: trash record first, ask questions later - or don't ask at all.0 -

The issue isn't that. The issue is if they can, I don't think a non-reporting entity can suddenly report a default despite not bothering to report previous account conduct.
Doesn't really seem like an accurate record of the account does it?0 -
the problem is they already gave my debt to debt collector, but i can not see it on my credit record.
p.s i didnt have mobile phone from them just a broadband so..0
