  • Our elf is called Alabaster :)

He goes home at some point in the middle of the night before Christmas eve and leaves his box ready for Christmas eve morning.

He usually gets mentioned throughout the day but by the time the days drawing to a close he's been forgotten in the excitement of father Christmas coming.

I was asked if I thought he would be coming this year for the first time this week.

The elf usually means we have a very excited but well behaved and happy child in the run up to Christmas and I would recommend it to anyone!

I think if I was having something printed on a hamper for two little girls I'd have some simple text saying 'May your Christmas be filled with delight' or just their names and a nice little festive design.
    Having a coke with you
is even more fun than going to San Sebastian, Irun, Hendaye, Biarritz, Bayonne
or being sick to my stomach on the Travesera de Gracia in Barcelona

For mischief nothing beats an elf,
He'll find a hamper on the shelf.
And fill it full of treats and fun
Then drop it on the hearth (amend as appropriate) and run.

Can't take credit for this as I've seen it elsewhere, but I quite like it. Might be a bit long though.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.
  • we used our surname as a name for my our elf. Worth a shot if you have a name that is suitable. Helps teach the kids your surname too
Trying to save up for a deposit for a mortgage....could be a while!!

  • Thanks everyone. Some really good suggestions.

Damzel, I found some Christmas dvd's in the £shop today (a few dog tales type ones that the girls will love) and a lovely book in HB. They'll be going in the hamper this year. I'm so excited :)
