Santander 123

In other threads it has in the past been pointed out that the £500 input required per month into a 123 account can be from another 123 account in someone else's name.
Earlier posts in this thread say from "non-Santander accounts".

Regardless of what may have been said in any thread in any forum, it clearly states on Santander's website that the monthly deposit has to come from a non-Santander account. It couldn't be clearer. In other threads it has in the past been pointed out that the £500 input required per month into a 123 account can be from another 123 account in someone else's name.

What they actually say is:The £500 minimum monthly payment does not include refunded amounts from your Visa Debit card or amounts transferred into the account from another Santander account in your name (including any joint accounts). Transfers in from a Santander Business Account do count towards the minimum £500 payment.

So clearly, payments from other Santander accounts in someone else's name do count against the minimum monthly deposit.0 -

It's not as clear as first it seemed. Point 4 contradicts what it says in point 5. It needs rectifying, otherwise it could reasonably be challenged.0 -
Suppose you are right - will you tell them? Cos I won't.....as I am paying my £500s in from other accounts, anyway. Kills two birds with one stone, as other accounts have minimum monthly deposit requests too, and some of them must be external.
Everybody should have more than one current account, anyway, for entirely different reasons, such as one of the banks having some IT problems etc. External funding should therefore not be a problem.0
