Sounds odd? Yes
Always done this? No
OK. 2 weeks ago all my radiators got hot.
Then two stopped working.
An engineer came round and resolved issue by releasing the pins in thermostat controllers on each radiator.
Well, will stupid me decided to take one off to see if I could do this myself and YES I could. BUT now no heat gets to the radiator when I put it back on.
SO now you I just leave the T C off and my radiator will be hot when heatings on.
Can anyone advise what I've done wrong?
The pin moves if pushed down on with a little strength.
I've seen it on YouTube where a particular pin seems to be easily sprung up and down.
Questions I have are;
1. R the pins usually easy pushed down or do they usually have a bit of force keeping them fully "extended"?
It has a British Gas thermostats on a few radiators.
I don't fancy removing anymore thermostats case I get similar issues.
Hope you can help.

You've probably just set the thermostatic control to its 'off' / 'lowest' position.
Put it back on and twist it around so it's set to the 'most red' - 'highest number' etc (depends on the type as to how they measure hot - cold).
If the radiator now warms up then that was you problem. And you just need to adjust the setting over time until you find the setting that turns the radiator off when the room is at the temperature you want.0
