how long does it take for an address change on a bank account to take affect?
trying to buy something on Tesco but its not matching up with the address it seems. forgot I hadn't updated our address on the bank account when we moved so did it this afternoon but its still not recognising it now. when should it take affect so other companies can see it?

Should be immediate if done in person. I think it will probably take longer if you sent something off centrally.0

I did all of mine that I could by phone (there were a couple where I had to fill in forms) and while most of them took effect immediately there was at least one that took place overnight. Unfortunately I can't remember which it was, but I do have a Santander account so it's possible that it was them.0
