ez now,
well iv done whats been said and sent them a letter requesting a final responce from themselves and to close the account due to my non usage etc etc, wel i sent this about 2 weeks ago then today i got a phone call from some guy called lee from the recovery team or summet asking me to pay this outstanding balance which is now £424,
i explained that i not used the account and i have sent a letter explaining this, i said that the £12 a month i shouldnt pay coz i havent used the account and he was adiment that i must pay this money as i have signed up for a service and have agreed upon the £12 a month charge so i must be liable for it. so he says as you have not used the account as a goodwill gesture the lowest i can reduce the payment to is £140, this is £4 cheaper than the overall cost of the monthly charges for the gold acount.
i seriously do not wana pay this money and i said what happens if i dont pay it, he says you got 28days from today to pay, if you have not after this date then you will be liable for the full charges of £424 and debt collecters may come to your house to collect payments plus extra
what do you think i should do i have sent them the letter but they have not replied or anything? am really stuck do i really have to pay these charges even if i have not used the account? they are convincing me more an more propa blaggin my ed.
cheers for any help peacedebt free wanabeee0 -
Sorry, sneak for not responding, as this is not my regular home. I would ask NatWest to provide what is called a T-Bar which is something that proves a discussion of cost was discussed with you. If they cannot provide proof you signed for the £12 charge they have no leg to stand on. That means charges and interest. I would also put the account into dispute because that will stop them sending bailiffs round until they have resolved it.0
