holiday compensation payment

we went on holiday and the hotel and accommodation was not as described we contacted the company on return and now they have offered us some compensation. They say that they will bacs it into my bank account. how long should it take for them to do this please can anyone help

what does the letter say? normally it will give you an outline perhaps 14 days for example as it might need to go via their accounts department. Once the bacs payment has been done it takes 3-5 working days I believe.
Have you actually accepted the compensation though as some companies won't pay you until you actually agree to the amount and tell them to go ahead.Lea
