Facebook/pictures/'friends'

Hi,If I have 2 friends, A and B. I can see their threads/pictures, and they mine. Obvious. But if A posts pics on his page, how can B see and post them, if he is not friends with A ?? Is there a connection through me ?

I think if you comment on or even 'like' somewhere on a post (or even someones comment following on) on person A then B can see all that post and comments. You post opens it up to B. B as a friend is entitled to see anything you post and it would be without any context, just a random comment if Facebook doesn't show the thread of the post you added to.

I am always aware that what some of my extended family for example get up to would shock my friends so I avoid any involvement in their post so as not to expose the comments to my other friends!

also the photos may be posted with the security settings that allow "friends of friends" to see the picture

As I understand it, if person A posts a pic, and tags you in it, then it becomes visible to anyone who can see your Timeline.
