Income based JSA whilst self employed

I am currently on income based JSA and self employed. The business is fairly new and I am not yet making much profit, I am wondering how my benefit is affected as I make more profit. I have asked at my job centre but they are quite unsure with those who are self employed.

I was asking about JS yesterday 'cos i need to go to sign-on. I've been surfing to see what i may get and there's something on the Gov website saying if you're able to go on the New Enterprise Allowance scheme you may get up to £1274 over 26wks.
I'm going to ask for more details 'cos it's unlikely i'll find a 'proper job'Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,

If you were able to join the New Enterprise Allowance this is an old thread here on Mse, it's very long so is going to take a lot of reading but there may be stuff in there that's of interest.

As you are entitled to JSA i take it your self employment is below 16 hours per week.
If you work 30 hrs plus you may be entitled to working tax credits or if a single parent or have a disability 16hrs plus.
With a low income you may also be entitled to HB and Council Tax Support, be sure to get a benefit check as your income and circumstances change.Forums can be/are a good guide to entitlement and it is good practice to back it up with clarification from the relevant department/specialist with written confirmation to safeguard yourself.0
