Why is it when I am downloading messages onto my Win 7 laptop using Windows Live Mail that when a message comes in that looks like spam or junk it gets transfered but is not saved anywhere even on the online server?

Maybe nobody knows the answer?

Perhaps it gets moved to the Junk/Spam folder? What if you login to Gmail via a web browser and check there?

I don't use Live Mail so I can't advise otherwise.

I have logged into GMail online and they are still not there

Check your spam and junk folders, also the other folders like promotions.

Have you set your spam filter to delete the contents automatically?

There is nothing saved in those folders.
