Jsa and signing on frequency (long post)

I was made redundant in February this year and have had my 6 months of contributions based Jsa. I can't get income based anything.

During the 6 months when I was receiving actual benefit I was signing on weekly. 3 weeks before my actual money was stopped I discovered I could have claimed travelling for all those extra signings i.e the one that wasn't my 'normal' week.
I asked my advisor for a claim form and he clearly didn't want to fill in the forms for the 50 pence petrol it cost me in travel and took me off weekly signings. A week after he made a very cruel sanction to which I immediately and aggressively challenged and it was found in my favour.
He then decided he didn't want to see me again and moved me to a new advisor.
I saw yet another new advisor today and she immediately put me on weekly signings again - the reason was that everyone is on weekly signing which I find very hard to believe. I challenged this but she was adamant its the law. In keeping with what I read this job centre treats me very badly.

My question is as I receive no money do I have to sign weekly? I know I have to fullfill my jsa agreement and do every day. I have very severe mobility problems and fairly recently was awarded enhanced mobility PIP and standard care if its relevant.

are you actually signing the form each week. I have attended weekly but one week its signing on and the next one is to see my advisor to see how im doing.
Why are you still signing on if you don't get any money?

The frequency seems to depend on the job centre, before I moved I use to see weekly alternating like Sncjw but at the job centre I switched it is fortnightly.

Why are you not getting any money?

I was advised yesterday that i should ask to have an appointment with a DEA: disability employment advisor. If you have mobility problems maybe you should do the same.

It is not the law that you need to sign weekly. It is a however requirement of receiving your NI credits that you do as they ask you to, if its reasonable (as deemed by a Decision Maker). Weekly attendance is very common at the moment and if its required of you then you have the choice to either sign off or comply.

Thanks all. I am only allowed 6 months of actual money as I have worked all my adult life and can only get national insurance contributions based jsa for 6 months after that I am not allowed to claim anything. I still sign on to get the NI credit only.
