First off, take photos before you clear it up, and keep hold of the broken jar for now in case they want to inspect it.

I'd say start by speaking to the shop you bought it from.

    Major earache?
That is serious. Do not waste any more time writing emails (or writing on forums), instead seek medical help.

I am shocked you haven't done that already.

Well done. We need to think of the children at times like this.

OP may have also suffered temporary memory loss as they forgot about the children in the thread which they started slightly earlier. Fortunately they seem ok now.

I found Yankee had really good customer service when I complained about a large jar braking earlier this year, They replaced my whole order of 3 jars even though only 1 was faulty:beer:

Pity. Injured kids = MORE COMPO!!!

(Particularly if the kids are of the non-goat variety...

OP, I can well believe that it did indeed happen.

However, you are unlikely to get anywhere with Yankee Candle. I had a tart burner explode on me and throw hot wax everywhere and Yankee Candle were totally uninterested.

I emailed them pictures, receipts, sent the actual product back to them and they hit me with some lawyer type speak and generally made things very difficult.

    Good luck.

Bought is to buy. Brought is to bring.
  • Have you seen the state of the bloke who advertises them on QVC? I would never buy from a bloke who looks like that
