help - buyer sending fake paypal payment emails!

so, a scammer has tried to hit me on ebay. I had a phone on auction, buyer purchased it using buy it now and has sent me a fake paypal email saying the payment has been made, whilst i havnt got a penny in my account. the wording of the fake email was enough to suggest that it was fake.

i really need help here, what should i do? this is the first time it has happened to me. How should i report this to ebay, get my listing/selling fees back and relist the item? i tried searching on the forums and ebay help files but couldnt find an answer. hope someone can help.

He has been a busy boy hasnt he!? Maybe someone should contact his other sellers before its too late...

    **edited to add**

I contacted the other 3 sellers and gave them a link to this thread. That way it wont be classed as "interference".

Looks like he will be kicked off soon! Report as a npb, I am sure some other people have and he will be kicked off!! report on paypal as well, send them an email with tjos2293 spoof email.

A Prime example of who you don't want bidding on your stuff!!! which can't really be helped when you have a buy it now! he has private feedback and has only bid on high price mobiles.

It is too late pulliptears they are all buy it now, so the auctions are finished. It is against ebay rules to contact the sellers trying to warn them as its called auction interference, unless anyone has a spare account they can do it with! ;)

Blimey the scammers are busy lately!!

follow the link I gave above and report as a npb asap!

You can edit your listing to have specifications of buyers....

To add buyer requirements to your listings:
    • In My eBay, under the My Account column, click the "Preferences" link.
    • In the Seller Preferences section, click the “Edit” link. The Buyer Requirements page opens.
    • Select your buyer requirements. These include blocking buyers who:
      • Are registered in countries to which you don't post
      • Have a feedback score of -1,-2,-3 or lower
      • Have received two Unpaid Item strikes in the last 30 days
      • Are currently winning or have bought '1-100' of your items in the last 10 days
      • Do not have a PayPal account
    • Click the Submit button to save your requirements
