HELP!!
I have just checked my credit file after applying for a credit card (which was rejected) and have noticed I have a default sum from Tesco Credit Card for £230 about 4 years ago. The default doesn't show my credit card or account number on my file and I can't seem to find any paperwork in the house so I'm unsure as to how to chase it up and get it paid?
Needing some advice...should I get in touch with Tesco credit card directly?
Once I've paid the £230, how long will it remain on my credit file and continue to affect other applications?
Any help would be most appreciated!!
Thanks!

The default will remain for 6 years from the default date shown on your file. This is regardless of whether it is paid or not.0
