MBNA Refund advice please...

I received a ppi refund cheque last week from MBNA following a letter stating that they have a policy of regularly reviewing complaints to see if they have been dealt with appropriately and that they felt that my original claim should have led to a payment of just under £1800 (the original claim i put in was in 2011 and was rejected).
I paid the cheque into my bank account last Thursday meaning it should have cleared yesterday however, having checked my bank account yesterday it would seem that the cheque has bounced.
I rang my own bank (as MBNA's phone lines were closed) and they said that on their records the cheque was appearing as 'pending' as if it had been represented but I can see no evidence of this when I look on my account.
Just wondering what people's thoughts are as I'm pretty shocked that a cheque which came from a bank has bounced and wondered how long I should wait for an apparently 'represented' cheque to appear in my account before I start pursuing MBNA.
Any advice would be great. Thanks

Contact MBNA to find out, only they can tell you.
It is possible the amount is wrong, in your favour, or not and they are dealing with it.0 -
If it's showing as "pending" then it clearly hasn't bounced at all. If it had bounced, then it would be showing as "returned".I rang my own bank (as MBNA's phone lines were closed) and they said that on their records the cheque was appearing as 'pending' as if it had been represented but I can see no evidence of this when I look on my account.
I think you are rather jumping the gun.
You'll just have to wait a bit longer, though you could certainly enquire with MBNA over the cheque's status.0
