If any of you are offered a 3 day test drive with Vauxhall motability please give this serious consideration if you have any medical conditions that don't handle stress very well. We made the mistake of taking them up on the offer and I have to say the whole experience has left us furious,
The insurance on our existing car was transferred on to the Vauxhall at 09.00 Monday morning this was done with no consultation with us other than to say don't use our car, the Vauxhall with the 3 day test drive finally showed up at 4pm that afternoon.with enough fuel to get to the garage
Now I'm the first to admit that on some things I'm not the most intelligent but I have always believed that a day was 24 hours, so 3 days was 72 hours but not if you are Vauxhall.
I got a phone call this morning to say that the driver was on his way to collect and if the Vauxhall with the 3 day test drive was not available a fee of £150 was payable.
I think the worst part of the experience is that the people you try to talk to on the phone won't let you get a word in and just talk over you.
The Vauxhall with the 3 day test drive has just been collected and the insurance is back on our car why is it delivered on our insurance and collected on Vauxhalls insurance
I don't think we will be getting a Vauxhall motability car.

We had one from them last year and when I say them, its not their Motabilty liason people who lend the cars its their 'fleet' arm.
This commercial part of theirs are more 'hardened' motor trade people and we cannot expect the same customer service as the Motabilty chosen ones ( we are talking Vauxhall after all).
As for the early insurance transfer and "don't use yours" - well I think that someone's being quite silly here.
We found them to be very efficient and were able to use the vehicle for long enough to find out that it wasn't suitable, so full marks to them - I don't know of any other manufacturer or dealer who would let you borrow a car for such a long period of time.0 -
we thought it quite silly too but they make the rules0
