Car bought on finance 2 vin numbers on it??

    I think one important point is that if the car was brought on finance specifically for that vehicle, then the lender may be jointly liable for such a fundamental issue with the vehicle.
  • While it's a fundamental issue, you don't really think the finance company are just going to roll over and cancel the agreement as well as refund the money you've paid, do you?
    You've had the use of the car for a year, so wouldn't be entitled to it all back anyway.

    OP you might want to take the car to VOSA for a VIC check (downside is you might not get it back) but then you will have a clear argument for most of your money back if they find it is a cut and shut.
