Hi guys
Just had an electrical condition report done and received a quote for remedial work. Just wanted to check my particular quote as posts I can find are normally just for upgrading the consumer unit.
Upgrade mains tails = 25.00
Upgrade main earth = 15.00
Upgrade consumer unit for a surface mounted 17th edition 10Way split RCD consumer unit with PART P certificate issued on completion = 295.00
New main protective bond to water incomer (clipped surface in porch) = 35.00
Install baton holder light fitting on to cable in conservatory = 25.00
Install appropriate sleeving on cables in switches = 29.00
Re-wire loft light and install new baton holder and switch = 50.00
Total = £474
I'm in Kidlington, which is just outside of Oxford.
I was happy with the sparks so as long as the quote is in the reasonable ballpark I'd be happy to accept it.
Thanks,
Chris.

Thank you for your reply.
I thought it sounded a lot to start off with but the more I look around and think about the extras being done the more it seems reasonable.
Anyone else had similar done recently?
Thanks,

I would suggest that it is indeed a decent quote. My brother paid close to £350 for just the consumer box and associated bits.Start Feb 2013 £148,900
Initial MFD Feb 2043 --- Target Feb 2035
Current balance [STRIKE]Jan 2014 £146,652[/STRIKE], Nov 2014 £143,509
:beer:Current MFD Oct 2042 (5 Months Early)
2013 OP: £255 / 2014 OP: £8150 -
Thanks Smiffy, I think I will go ahead and accept the quote.
Thanks for your input guys.
