Ok, so i admit, I am a facebook virgin. I find the format so un user friendly. For example. Question 1:

If I am searching for a friend called , say, bill smith, why does it give options of bill smithers, bill smithsonian, bill sithy, bill smitheroony etc etc. You get the picture. How do I say to it, NO! You stupid facebook, I only want to see people called bill smith!!!!!!

Answers on a postcard please...........more questions to follow.

Thanks

Olias

From when I browse Facebook, I assume the above measure has been put in place because many who use it are incapable of spelling 'Bill Smith' correctly. I hope they also look at introducing some kind of translation tool that converts the awful nonsense people write into proper English.

Lol, ok, question 2. I sent a friend request to a cousin on the facebook app, which she accepted. However, she is not linked to me on the website? Am I supposed to send her a seperate request for the website as well?

Yep, logged on on both app and website. Alson sent a friend request to my brother. He accepted and i received a notification to that effect, but he, s not shown as a friend? I looked at his profile and it said add as friend, so i clicked on it, but it just sent another request to him, but he, s already accepted?

  • Did you set up a new account when you set up the app or did you log in with your PC Facebook details (if you set your account up first on your PC).

What I am trying to say is have you got two accounts rather than just one?

You are a genius. I logged out of the app, and when i tried to log back in, i realised it had been set up a while back with another email, so was in effect another account. I have deleted it and logged back into the app with my current email and alls good. Thanks
