Diverting calls to 0800

Hi
My mobile allows me to forward all calls to another number, so my mobile doesn't ring it just routes the calls automatically. Guess most mobiles do this.
If I divert all calls to an 0800 number am I going to pick up the cost of the call from my mobile to the 0800 number?
Thanks
Rich

Assuming yours is like most mobile priceplans where 0800 numbers aren't included, then you will have to pay.0

Thanks, thought was the case0

If you have inclusive minutes to 01/02 numbers, you could of course normally divert the call to the number the 0800 number piggy backs on .0

Thanks, would do that but can't find the regular number even after trying saynoto0870 and googling the number as well0

I'm getting between 40 and 80 calls daily that are not for me due to a company giving my number out so I'm going to divert them all back to them until they sort it.0

That sounds likely to become expensive, as you would be paying for the callsHi

Not all providers offer call diversion. Most PAYG do not, except only giffgaff and Three do that I'm aware of. Virgin didn't use to support it at all even on contracts, and I'm out of date with what their current position is.0 -
I'm on three but not one of their new plans that include 0800 calls sadly0

What would you do if someone actually called your number to speak to you? They would end up talking to this 3rd party instead as well.
My parents had a similar situation with their landline number. The local doctors surgery a couple of miles away had the same number but a different area code, so they ended up with people on the phone daily who didn't realise.
It took a while to get resolved and this wasn't anyone's fault, unlike your situation, but just keep on at the company. Daily emails, phone calls, Facebook/Twitter if they have it. If you keep on and on they will get sick of you and hopefully sort it out!0 -
I don't mind doing it the odd days as I think they will soon get sick of 80 unwanted calls and rectify the situation. I'll tell the regular people who call me to text me and I'm sure if they don't know and get someone else answering my phone they will text me to see what's going on.
Well I can try it and see what happens...0
