new halifax 0% 20 months credit card

hi all,
i saw the halifax 0% for 20 months card, passed well on the mse test and so i applied for it,
I was accepted for 20 months and have emails etc confirming it went through ok
I have now realised on the link it says:
"You can't apply for this if you already have a Halifax card, so if that's you, then you need to look for another card"
It sounds silly but i forgot i had one, as i only use it when i go abroad on holiday and i haven't for over a year.
Does this mean I will be rejected or would that have happened already if that were the case? As MSE doesn't elaborate much on exactly what halifax cards would prevent you from getting one (is it all credit cards, just certain ones, even debit cards? etc)
*** just to add, the halifax site does not tell you at any point you cannot have this if you already have a card with them and neither does the email i had confirming my acceptance***

- I am aged 18 or over.
- I am a UK resident.
- I have a regular income.
- I am NOT currently declared bankrupt, have any County Court Judgments against me or be subject to an Individual Voluntary Agreement.
- I do not have an existing Halifax credit card.
Please let us know how it goes.0 -
i guess the moral is don't apply for a credit card when you're tired!
bit worried now i can't apply for a different one, as i need a new 0% and i need to keep my existing halifax card for my upcoming holiday,
do people think i should cancel? and if i do, will i then be ok to apply for a different one?0 -

You have already applied for it so I'd wait and see what happens.
I'd expect a letter by post from Halifax telling you that you can't have another credit card with them.
If you haven't made many applications recently you should be good to apply for another card, but I'd wait to see what's the outcome of that application.0 -
Maybe a consolation prize - I had a letter this morning about 6 months 0% on purchases with the Clarity card 1st Nov to 30th April.0

Not really adding to the thread but I've applied for this card and was infuriated to get the money laundering, please prove your identity stuff request this morning. I bank with Halifax and did all the ID stuff when I opened my account, so if they are not sure who I am, they are in a bit of a mess.
More interesting is that it is clear from the application form that they don't actually guarantee you will get the interest free purchase offer, or the advertised interest rate.0
