Party Wall/Ceiling Advice

Hi all,

Everything that I have read about party walls on all websites seem to deal with only shared vertical walls between properties.

I have a load bearing wall entirely within my flat that I would like to take down. I have contacted the council and paid for a Building Notice. I have also had a structural engineer make drawings and calculations which I also passed to the council.

What I am confused about is whether I would need a Party Wall agreement, even if i am not changing anything in our shared walls (the steel beam will be in my space below, lowering that part of my ceiling).

Has anyone been in this position? If so what is the correct way to proceed?

Any help would be great!
