Hey all,
Have had someone at the door today from a company called Nice Energy People offering us free cavity wall insulation as part of a government funded grant. I live in Essex and he told me that here we have now been cleared for 100% funding for this which is why they are going door to door. Our neighbours had it done a few weeks ago and are very happy.
I'm just wondering if anyone here has any more information about this company and this scheme because the other half has had a complete hissy fit about me signing up for this without consulting him. It sounds totally legit to me but would like some independent opinions on it please!

Hi
Yes I had a guy come round last week and I have got confirmation that the work will be done in a couple of weeks. I am a bit suspicious though as to how this can be funded entirely by the government, so I have asked for more information. Have you had the work done yet? I am interested to know whether there is a catch0 -
Ask them which government scheme it is installed under; they all have names.
In theory free CWI should be available, however the byzantine "market" gubmint have set up is currently not offering enough money to installers to actually do the work.
It's basically all about quotas because, you know, "green crap".0
