    Its one thing after another atm. We had to increase our deposit from 3k to 15k to bridge the gap on the survey valuations.

    Its more annoying than anything else, especially as its something that is out of our control :cool:

    Like you said lets wait and see what the costs are lol :beer:

    Why are you paying more than the house has been valued at? Fallen in love with it or something?
  • Sold my house last year which was not registered - purchasers solicitors expected me to pay to get it registered with all the costs etc attached to that work - politely said "No" if the purchaser wants the house he will need to sort out that aspect and pay. The house was up for sale "as is" not as the purchaser would have liked it to be

    Well the seller has no interest in registering the property, so why shoul they pay.

    As the new owner, it is for you to register your property.

    I was charged an extra £100 by a solicitor in order to register a house I bought a couple of years ago. Seemed fair enough to me as there was additional work to be done. If the seller can not produce the deeds I imagine this could extend the time needed before you are able to exchange.
