Social Media report of incident yesterday -
It is with great sadness that we bring the news of Kenya's untimely death. In a heinous act of cruelty Kenya was shot in cold blood and without reason at close range with a small caliber rifle near our business at the Six Road Ends. She passed away shortly after while in the superb care of Vets 4 Pets in Bangor. There was nothing that could be done due to the extent of her injuries. We know Kenya was greatly loved by all of our customers as she greeted them with tail wagging each and every one on a daily basis. The PSNI are investigating the crime but for legal reasons we cannot release any further details. Kenya will undergo a full post mortem by the State Pathologist to retrieve further details surrounding her death. She had a wonderful life and was a treasured friend to me through both good times and bad, she never failed to make me smile when the chips where down. Her memory will live on in my heart where she will always have a place. So long my friend, you will be sorely missed. See More

This is absolutely shocking. That some evil person felt he was able to take the life of this sweet little dog. I hope justice is served but it'll never bring the wee thing back.0 -
I'm appalled at all the cruelty to human beings in the world. Wars, nastiness, brutality, it never ends.
Just read an enlightening article in the daily tel - "will Ebola upset the economy?" How insensitive can you be?“What means that trump?” Timon of Athens by William Shakespeare0 -

I'm inclined to agree. Mind you, we could be in for a serious shake-up, even here in Norn Irn if these new drugs don't work.0 -
Animal cruelty hurts my heart so much, I wish there was an "eye for an eye" law where whatever they did to the animal is done to them. I wish there was no cruelty at all but there are a lot of sick people out there. So heartbroken for the Kenyas, Codys and other beautiful creatures who suffer at mans hands x0

P.s on the flip side, it warms my heart that there are so many of us who care e.g all the Cody supporters and the response to the Manchester Dogs Home fire0

I think there are more who care than there are of those who don't. It's just a pity it's sometimes so difficult to catch the criminals which is why I think the USPCA are doing such a great job.0 -
