Today received a PCN from Parking Eye for over staying a two hour limit by thirty minutes. In the past the advice on here was to totally ignore all communications from PE, is this still the case or do you now need to respond or go through the appeals process.

England, Wales or Scotland ? If Scotland then ignore. If England or Wales then follow the advice in the Stickies on this board. DO NOT SIMPLY IGNORE - the laws in England were changed some time ago around this. Follow the advice in the stickies carefully, but essentially you need to make a POPLA appeal.
A good first point of call, though, is to speak to the store manager - they can, if they feel so inclined, get the ticket revoked, and this will save a lot of hassle.0 -

OK, in that case it's (1) Speak to the manager, if no joy then (2) read the stickies and follow the instructions carefully.
Don't worry, you won't have to pay this so-called "fine", you just need to do things by the book.0 -
Do the managers have authority to cancel; if he says he doesn't could I say that I know that he has. Also, you say I will not have to pay if I do things by the book, can you really be that sure that it is worth going through the procedures.Ebe_Scrooge wrote: »OK, in that case it's (1) Speak to the manager, if no joy then (2) read the stickies and follow the instructions carefully.

Yes, he does have the authority. Whether the PE scumbags will listen to him is a different matter ! But you'll find any number of threads on here where store managers have got tickets cancelled ( ultimately it's in his interest to cancel it, he doesn't want to lose customers ).
And yes, it's most definitely worth going through the procedures. Skim through the hundreds of threads on this board - I don't think there's a single case where people have had to pay after following the procedures. In 99.9% of cases the parking company won't bother going to court because they know they can't win. And they have to go to court if they want to force you to pay. They'll all THREATEN you with court action, but it's an empty bluff.0 -
Absolutely certain that you'll win. The templates are excellent, and PE are folding at the sight of the template appeals. And even if they didn't in your case, you'll be certain for a win at PoPLA.
Of course, let the store manager know as they can cancel them. Also get a complaint in to Aldi head office.0 -
Yawn - yes. Read the Newbies thread and copy what it tells you to send.Do the managers have authority to cancel; if he says he doesn't could I say that I know that he has. DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
